Grading

Within the The Academy of Applied Technical and Preschool Studies in Niš, vocational studies are organized and taught as:

1. FIRST DEGREE VOCATIONAL STUDIES

Basic vocational studies lasting three years and granting, upon their completion, 180 ECTS points. The student who completes basic vocational studies shall acquire the professional title of Bachelor in the corresponding field.

2. SECOND DEGREE VOCATIONAL STUDIES

Master vocational studies lasting two years and granting, upon their completion, 120 ECTS points. The student who completes master vocational studies shall acquire the professional title of Master in the corresponding field.

Grading Scale

Students’ success in the exams is reflected by the following grades:

Grading Table

Points are awarded to students based on effort and engagement. The more knowledges and practical work the students adopt, the more points they earn. The points system encourages the students to work on new practical skills that they haven’t tried before.
Points are visible for students on course web page.
In institutions of higher education in Serbia, a 5−10 grading scale is used (5 is a failing whereas 6−10 are passing grades, 6 being the lowest and 10 the highest passing grade).
